It has already been a month and almost two months with no new Build having been released to Windows 10 PCs and Windows 10 Mobile. Couple of days ago we had news that we might get to see a new Build Windows 10 released to PC users in Fast Ring on Thursday as was tweeted by the Insider Program Head Dona Sarkar.
Yesterday, Dona Sarkar has explained the Delay in not releasing any new Windows 10 PC Builds for Insiders in Fast Ring. Below is the confirmation for delay:
“Many of you have been asking about getting a new version [of Windows 10 in the Insider Program] this week. Unfortunately, we do not have a good [compilation] candidate to release at this time. We have detected a problem with updates of type n + 1 (the upgrade path from one version to another). We are committed to never leaving our community in a bad state if we can help. Certainly we do not want to release a compilation that would leave the Insiders stuck and requiring a re installation of Windows to be back in good condition.”
Since the Development team has found a bug which would prevent new installations of Windows 10 Builds, the Team decided not to release the latest Build to Windows Insiders instead detect the problem and work on a solution before releasing to Insiders in the Fast Ring.
The Windows Insider Head has confirmed that the issue has been resolved and now the Development team is testing the build internally and if no issues are found further then we might see a new Windows 10 Insider Preview Build released to Fast Ring insiders as early as Tuesday 10th Jan 2017.
So if any of our users have been waiting eagerly for a new Insider Build then please be patient to receive a new Build in the next week as confirmed by Dona Sarkar.
