Lumia 830 reportedly discontinued, Lumia 840 in the works
Nokia introduced the Lumia 830 – one of the best Windows Phones so far. The device packed a 5-inch a display, the Snapdragon 400 and a 10 MP rear camera. Now, according to a new report from NPU, Microsoft has discontinued production of the Lumia 830, and are selling through current stock.
Microsoft is reportedly already working on a Lumia 830 successor – presumably the Lumia 840. The report states that the Lumia 840 will sport a 5-inch display, a 13-14MP rear camera, a 5MP front shooter, and Dual Sim support. Additionally, the report also states that the Lumia 830 successor will have a similar design to its predecessor.
We can’t confirm if the report is “real” and if Microsoft will indeed launch a Lumia 830 successor. However, we note that NPU did accurately predict the 5.7 inch 1080P handset which was confirmed in the recent AdDuplex report.
